Position Summary:

The Chetola Resort seeks a highly motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team at our on-site Timberlake's Restaurant. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the success of our full-service resort restaurant operations. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee and supervise all aspects of the front of house experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Operations Management:

· Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.

· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation, and hygiene standards.

· Monitor food and beverage quality and service consistency.

· Assist in scheduling and managing shifts for staff.

· Support the manager in maintaining operational efficiency and reducing costs.

Customer Service:

· Ensure excellent customer service and promptly address customer complaints or concerns.

· Assist in handling reservations and seating arrangements.

· Promote a welcoming atmosphere and ensure customer satisfaction.

Staff Supervision & Training:

· Assist in recruiting, training, and developing restaurant staff.

· Supervise employees to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

· Motivate staff to provide exceptional service and maintain a positive work environment.

· Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Financial & Inventory Management:

· Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability.

· Monitor sales reports and assist in financial planning.

· Oversee stock levels, order supplies, and minimize waste.

· Assist in handling cash management and daily financial transactions.

Marketing & Promotions:

· Support promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives to drive sales.

· Assist in managing social media presence and engaging with customers online.

· Help coordinate special events and seasonal promotions.

  

Qualifications & Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred).

· Proven experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or food service role.

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

· Knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

· Experience with POS systems and inventory management software is a plus.
