Our guests are our most important asset. Involvement, teamwork, and commitment are the values that govern our work. This position provides service of food and beverage in the restaurant. This role requires you to adhere to the hotel and brand standards. You will also be required to be friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional, always offering our guest a high level of satisfaction. 

  

Essential Responsibilities:

   

1. Greets and welcomes guests with a smile at the tables, suggests specials and   particular menu items.

 

2. Takes food and beverage orders correctly.

 

3. Gives prompt, efficient and correct delivery of order to customer.

 

4. Checks back with the guests periodically to ensure satisfaction.

 

5. Makes sure product is top quality before serving it to the guest.

 

6. Uses suggestive selling techniques.

 

7. Complete knowledge of service standards for beer, liquor and wine.

 

8. Properly rings up items on guest check by having thorough knowledge of the MICROS   system (or registers.)

 

9. Presentation of guest checks and collections of all monies for full payment of check.

 

10. Complete opening and closing side worksheets assigned by management for each shift.

 

11. Responsible for setting up tables with china, glass and silver that is always clean, polished and free of visible wear and tear.


12. Responsible for clearing tables.


13. Assists Dining Room Attendant/Servers when necessary.

 

14. Must   be familiar with cash handling/bank procedures as well as declaring tips   according to IRS standards.


15. Communicate with guests, supervisors, co-workers in a courteous manner   at all times.


14. Honors all guest requests—to go out of our way to accommodate our   customer’s special needs remembering that “No” is never the answer to our   guests’ request.


Other Responsibilities:

1. Attends company orientation and other meetings as required.

2. Adheres to all policies and procedures.

3. Must adhere to all Federal, State and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages. Ramp certification preferred.

4. Is expected to perform any related duty as requested by supervisor.

5. Teamwork.

6. Follows safety, security and emergency procedures and rules.

7. Observes proper sanitation and cleanliness procedures.

8. Utilizes protective equipment.

9. Reports accidents, injuries, hazards, near misses, defective equipment, property damage or loss to supervisor.


Physical Demands/Abilities: 

1. Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service. 

2. Communicate effectively with guests and coworkers, i.e., memorize the menu, specials of the day and special promotions, provide information, answer questions, etc. 

3. Stand and/or walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods.

4. Must be able to lift and carry trays weighing up to thirty (30) pounds. 

5. Requires manual dexterity.

6. Reach and bend for varying lengths of time, often long periods.

7. Work in an environment that is noisy, demanding and physical with fluctuating adverse temperatures.

8. Frequent reaching, twisting, bending, stooping, walking, standing, handling, and smiling.
